Teaching Procedures
Step Ⅰ. Greeting
Greet the whole class as usual.
Step Ⅱ. Revision.
Review the grammar and useful phrases appearing in this unit. Show them on the screen and let the Ss make sentences with the phrases.

Step Ⅲ. Preparation for listening and listening
1. First ask some students to tell sth. about tigers in China to the whole class.
2. Tell the Ss that we’re going to listen to a tape about pandas.
3. Let the Ss close books. Listen to the tape carefully. After that let them open the books, turn to page 138 to do the listening exercises. If they are not sure about some question. We can play the tape again.
Step Ⅳ. Practice and Dictation
1. Deal with Part 2. First read the instructions for this exercise aloud. Explain that the Ss must find the correct translation for each phrase. Then get the Ss to it individually, then check the answers with the class.
2. Give the following dictation to the Ss.
Last Monday our class went on an organized trip to a forest to study the wildlife. The purpose of our trip was to record all the wildlife and plants that we could find in the forest. As soon as we entered the forest, we started looking for new types of plant. After lunch we did some tests to see if the river in the forest was polluted. In the afternoon, we all went off separately to look for new plants. At the end, we got back to the entrance of the forest.
Step Ⅴ. Discussion and Workbook
1. Deal with Part 3. First write four subjects on the Bb. Ask the class the two questions for each of the subjects and write any answers and the subjects heading the Bb. Then divide the class into the groups and give each group a subject. Get them to discuss.
2. Deal with exercises in this lesson on page 105.
Homework
Finish the writing exercise in SB Lesson 32 Part 4.
