Today I was supposed to have an evening class. But the school made it a new rule that the two Art Classes only need a teacher to be on duty. So I decided to work the Saturday evening shift, and went home,  happy.

One of my collegues gave me a lift back home. He is one of the rich teachers in my school. And He bought a car not long before.  On the way we talked about the driving skill.

Actually I can drive. I got  my driving license in 1993. Quite early! In that year I was driving a Mitsibishi pickup for the whole year. But from then on I quitted. And the driving license has become invalid because I haven't made it checked each year by the vehicle authority. 13 years has gone.

On the National Day I went back to my hometown.  My elder brother bought a car just one month ago. I tried. Something was beyond my original experience. I found I had lost the sense of speed and distance. The car was nearly out of control at the beginning. After driving laps around an open garden, thing went ok gradually. The sense of speed and distance came back to me partly. I remembered that at that time I could drive at a speed of more than 100 km per hour on the highway.

It's true that practice makes perfect.
