Yesterday evening in Tokyo, our National Olympic Football Team lost face again in a U-21 friendly. They were defeated by their life long enemy ---- Japanese team. And this is the second time that they have been beaten painfully by the same opponent in one year’s time.

Last night I was at school to eye the evening lessons. So I missed the live match. Immediately the lessons were over, I rushed home and switched on the computer and clicked open the sports page.

SH…T! Lost again! 0 --- 2.

Very disappointed, I stared at the score for a while, saying nothing.

As a matter of fact, I hadn’t thought they could kick Japs ass. But there was something still in my heart. What hell was that? Precisely, a bit of hope.

They are completely hopeless!

China’s football, go to hell! Especially men’s teams!

The football association, moron idiot, PHUQUE off!

You can lose to any other teams, but not to the Jap teams!

(2) A morning reading lesson from 7:00 to 7:30. Head teacher should be available, besides the teacher of Chinese.

(3) The first lesson period from 7:35 to 8:15. Not mine.

While listening to a C-Span TV debate, I browsed through the Sina news pages. One hour later, I found that I ended up remembering nothing I had listened to and read.

(4) The second lesson from 8:25 to 9:05. I gave it to one class, checking up homework.

(5) The third and fourth lessons. I stayed in the office, correcting students’ papers and preparing some teaching materials.

(6) The last lesson before lunch time from 11:10 to 11:50.

Ditto to the second lesson period, but in the other class.

In the afternoon.

Nothing special to write about. No regular lessons.

We decided that each of Grade Two teachers would prepare one set of exercises for the coming revision. And get down to my share.

No evening lessons, either.
