From my home to the school is 10 minutes’ ride and 10 minutes’ ride too from the school to my home.

Every workday I cover the same distance for 4 times. And when I work overtime to have evening lessons, it’s 6 times.

I have already become familiar with the streets and living blocks I ride through everyday.

From morning to evening and from spring to winter, I have to repeat the dull riding.

The school lies in the west of the city while my home live in the east. In the morning the sun says goodbye to me and in the afternoon the sun says the same to me as well.

Every day the school restricts me in the campus, with no business trips and less fun.

School life is just quiet and nothing exciting, except when the students are making progress. This is the only thing that can make me really happy!

Giving lessons and sitting in the office correcting homework take the whole day. School life is like a cocoon. When can we break a tiny hole and fly out?

I have a middle school classmate. He is working in a Zhoucun middle school, teaching Chinese. He is very happy with his job. He is enjoying it.

Compared with him, I feel ashamed of myself sometimes.

It seems that I have two of myself. One is saying, “Stick with it. Don’t give up.” While the other one is yelling, “Consider doing something else.”

This makes me totally bewildered!

Now I am sitting in my office, typing this diary. I raise my head and look out of the only window, and a ray of the grey sunlight of the late afternoon is squeezing in.

I light a cigarette and plunge myself into deep thinking.
