Chill outside. But in the multimedia classroom it was warm. The heat system worked well.

We had a gathering here. Mr. R organized two teachers to give two open lessons. They were great. Ms Lu, from Xuegong School, speaks excellent English. She took advantage of her fluent English in the lesson. And the second teacher, Ms Zhang from No.3 Middle School, also did a great job. I was deeply impressed with her PPT demonstration, into which I could see she had put a lot of efforts.

After the open lessons, Mr. R made comments on them as usual. I agreed with him, especially to the following points:

1.     Activate students to take part in the lesson tasks. Enliven the lesson atmosphere.

2.     Encourage students to speak English and thus make a good interactive communication between the teachers and students. English teaching should be of communication, for communication and by communication.

3.     Dissolve the listening learning r into every step of each lesson. This should be based on the second step.

4.     Make better use of multimedia aid, making the object teaching and result in lively and interesting lessons.

5.     Teamwork. Each student should be a good team player in the English lessons. They should be guided to do so with the help of the teachers.

Each time I attend such open lessons, I surely get a lot.
